Jacob heads to Egypt with a stop in Beersheba. G-d promises to go with Jacob and ensure that Jacob will be buried in the Holy Land. The Torah recounts all of Jacob's descendants at the time of his descent to Egypt, which numbered 70, corresponding to the 70 nations of the world.
